As waxing involves the hair being pulled from the root, it's obviously going to hurt more than simply shaving it off. But is the pain from waxing unbearable? The truth is that everyone’s pain threshold is different, so what might be too much for some is barely noticeable for others. When it is done quickly and efficiently, it's not that painful. It is worse the first time you wax, but lessons with each waxing. The areas that can be more sensitive the most are: the chest, pubic area and butt crack. A couple of Panadol half an hour before waxing will help to reduce the pain.

1. Less re-growth.  The best benefit is that the hair does not grow back very quickly.
2. Finer growth. It's not about the amount of regrowth, it's also about the the type of hair regrowth.
3. Waxing is like exfoliation. A build-up of dead skin cells and grime on your skin can cause outbreaks, blemishes and dryness.
4. Fewer ingrown hairs. Shaving can be a disaster for many people in terms of ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs can be painful and look unsightly.

All redness should subside within a few hours and up untill 24 hours after you wax.

Usually 4 to 5 weeks between waxing or when the hair is about 2mm long. If you stay on a regular schedule your hair will become sparce and less course over time.

You should wait 2-3 weeks after shaving before waxing so the hair is long enough. Usually 2-3mm

As long as you have not just recently had it done and it is fully healed. Waxing will make the tattoo stand out more and make it look better. Continue exfoliating the skin and keep it moisturised to make the ink more vivid.

Do not use deoderants on waxed area for 24 hours. Talc is ok.
Do not exercise where you break into a sweat for 24 hours after waxing. Do not use spa pools, saunas or swimming pools for 24 hours.
It is recommended to use our Jax Wax after care products.
If you are getting a manzilion, please refrain from sexual activity for 24 hours. While your pores are open, they are vulnerable to irritation and infection by bacteria.

Wear loose clothing that is not going to irritate the skin. The looser the better. Bring loose clean underwear if getting intimate waxing.

Not to us; we are used to it. It can be a little uncomfortable to be fully exposed, but remember we are here to get the area cleaned and waxed. We aim to make all of our customers feel as comfortable as possible and we understand that you may be feeling nervous. Most clients feel very comfortable after their first session with us.

Some guys feels more comfortable that we are naked as well, so you're not the only one who is fully exposed. That way we are all equal. Just ask us for a 'naturist service' (but please note, asking us to be nude is not an invitation for sex).

If you forget your appointment and become a "no show" you are welcome to reschedule another appointment but there will be a $30 fee added to you next wax session. We recommend putting your appointment into your calendar so you don't forget (as you would with a dental or GP appointment).
Waxes take an hour to heat to prepare for your appointment.
